I packed my camera bags for this shoot feeling refreshed from my extended maternity break and excited to get back into photographing again. I so very much enjoyed this session. It’s so wonderful to see this family growing. I photographed little Charlotte a few years ago and now they have a new addition and another one on the way! As always my aim in sessions is to capture a few classic portraits but also plenty of real, relaxed family moments. I want to see the interaction and capture those little expressions that we often forget over time. I love to see the delight a child experiences when they are turned upside down and see them explore the world around them. That is what makes me love what I do. My memory is pretty average but the camera allows us to freeze some of these precious expressions and moments in time – and that’s what I aim to do for my clients. This portrait session was held at the Wynnum Waterfront in Brisbane’s Bayside. The Wynnum Waterfront is such a lovely place for a portrait session with young families as children love to explore the diverse environment and feel the sand underneath their feet. What a beautiful place to preserve precious family memories. What a great set of lovely images we were able to capture. What a wonderful family I had the privilege of photographing.
