Hi, I'm Kylie and I'm a Wedding and Portrait Photographer for Brisbane and Surrounding areas. Over 12 years ago my husband I were married on the Sunshine Coast. We were young and very much in love and in all honestly didn't put a lot of thought into choosing our wedding photographer. We met with someone who had taken photos at a few friend's weddings. He was nice and most importantly I thought his photos looked really good so we booked him. However, on the day of our wedding while we were putting the finishing touches on our make-up, about half and hour after the photographer was supposed to arrive he was still not there. I started to feel a little anxious so I rang my husband and asked him to contact our photographer (the rule about not speaking to each other went out the window). When he rang him he was out working in his garden - he had forgotten our wedding. I'll never forget that feeling of driving to the church, really slowly, wondering if the photographer would make it in time. Thankfully he did get there just as we arrived and we were able to get some beautiful photos of our day. However after the wedding he made many promises he didn't keep and in the end we still don't have some of the products that we paid for in our original package. I learnt a lot from that experience.
I remain very grateful that I got to marry my soul-mate and best friend and my love for him remains as well as my love of beautiful images. However, I often think that it was this experience that has fuelled my strong desire to make sure that I not only offer my clients the best quality images possible, but also the best service and personalised attention that I can give them. Over the last decade I have had the privilege of capturing many precious moments for couples on their wedding day and memories for families during their portrait sessions. I see this as both a privilege and a big responsibility. This year I have treasured the opportunity to be a part of some of the most important and sometimes the hardest parts of my clients lives. A few weeks ago I witnessed a beautiful and emotional wedding where one of them was due to be deployed shortly after. Earlier this year I photographed a family where two members - one parent and one child would be facing chemotherapy and radiation in the weeks after it. Although my heart ached to see a family go through such tragedy I felt so glad to be able to preserve some memories for them. I have found that no matter who they are, each wedding couple and family comes to me with their own story, and their own uniqueness and it is a privilege for me to be able to help document memories for them that can be remembered for a lifetime. If you would like to contact me for more information or to find out more about making a booking I would love to hear from you. You can contact me through my contacts page or phone me on 0478 628 378.
