I have decided that for the next 30 days I’m going to do a 30 day challenge. This is somthing I’ve been wanting to do for a while. The aim of my 30 day challenge is to post every day for 30 days with a photo from every-day life. The aim is not to get perfect portraits but rather to document my everyday life – and that of my family. Why? There are a few reasons:
1) Preserve everyday memories. I’ve never had a great long-term memory for events and happenings. But what I do remember is things that were documented in photos. I sometimes wonder if that is why I’m so drawn to photography. I want to remember the little things my children did and their little unique expressions. I also want to give them the opportunity to remember these moments through photos.
2) Challenge my skills – Although it may seem easy, candid photography can be quite challenging and I am always wanting to stretch my skills in this area.
3) Have some fun! Photography is a career for me but it’s still something I’m passionate about and love. So, this should be a fun little challenge.
The Challenge: Pretty simple really – I’m aiming to post something every day for 30 days. It should document my everyday life in some way.
So, here we go with Day 1:
Both my girls love arts and crafts. It keeps them occupied for hours. Today they spent some time making jewellery. We are visiting their grandma and she helped them make some things and they were very proud of the finished products.
