My beautiful little girl turns 4 today.  She is as sanguine as they come – loves fun, laughter, friendships, activity and excitement and is as girly as they come.  However, she has a gentle sensitive side that is beautiful to see as well.   It’s exciting to see her growing up and starting to develop her own little personality.   I have no idea where she’s going to end up in life but I have no doubt that she will bring lots of joy and fun wherever she goes.  One thing I do know though – she’ll never be a nurse, just the thought of blood and she’s as white as a sheet and you need to be ready to catch her.  Happy Birthday to my beautiful little girl – I hope that 4 is all that you’ve dreamed it will be!

Those are the words I’d use to sum up this lovely little girl and her mum who I met for a photo session on Saturday.  It was such a pleasure to capture the love they share.  Mum was prepared with all sorts of fun things for us to photograph.  I just love this age! (I love every age really – for different reasons).   Here is a sneak peak of our lovely session.

I had a wonderful time with this beautiful family.  It was so easy to see the loving bond that they shared and capturing that was a delight.  I love photographing primary aged children – it is lovely seeing their outgoing personalities and the missing teeth are just adorable! Here’s a few of my favourites from you session.

I decided that I wanted to try out a new location the other day so I took the kids out after school pick-up for some photos.  It was lots of fun (apart from the moment when Amos crept up behind me while I was shooting and I stood back – eek – thankfully he was OK).   The apples definitely added to the fun.  I don’t usually let Amos eat apples (worried about him choking) but he sank his teeth into one and enjoyed every moment of it.  I had a look at the apples yesterday and they all have little baby teeth marks in them.

If you like the look of this location with the beautiful purple flowers then I’m going to add the location to my standard locations – it has some beautiful light in the late afternoon.

I am putting together some family outfit selections to give people some ideas of what they can wear to their sessions and how to blend everyon in the family together.  Since it’s winter at th moment I though I’d put together somthing that would work well for a winter session.
