I had a wonderful day on Saturday photographing this wedding.  The wedding was full of lots of gorgeous details.  Here’s a sneak peak for Lani & Kirran.

I had a great time with Lani & Kirran on their engagement shoot.  Here are a few of the highlights from the shoot.  Photos were taken at a few placed in the city.

If there’s one accessory I think every bride should think carefully about it’s their shoes.  Why?  Just cause I love to photograph them!  I think that when you spend a few hundred dollars on a pair of nice shoes then thye are worthy of at least one or two photographs.  It’s the same with all your wedding details.  I try to capture as many of them as possible because I know how much time and energy went into them.

Anyway, here’s a few of my favourite shoe shots from 2008. 

I’ll start off we my absolute favourites.  Lauren found her perfect princess shoes and they suited the day just perfectly. 

This was such a beautiful day.  Here are some of the highlights.

I really enjoyed photographing Jenni & Lionel’s wedding yesterday.  It was such a beautiful day.  We started out at a Oaks Hotel in the city where Jenni and the girls were getting ready.  The boys got ready there too but Lionel wasn’t allowed to see Jenni.

They united in the Lobby - Lionel looked so sweet when he saw Jenni for the first time in her wedding dress.

We then headed out for a few hours of photos before the ceremony started. 

We spent a bit of time in the city…

And then we moved to UQ for some more fun. 

The ceremony was held at Hillstone, St Lucia in the rose garden.

We couldn’t have a wedding at Hillstone without a photo with the renounded door.

Wall displays are great ways to show off more than one photo on a wall.  I love spending time with people deciding on a design that will be perfect for their walls. These work for wedding photos or for portrait photos.  Here are a few examples of possible wall displays. Each photo is individually framed and then hung in the particular pattern. Alternatively you can do them in canvas’ and block mounts. 

There is a type of wedding photography that has been called photojournalism.  This style is designed to capture all the details of the day - the emotions and the movements.  My style is generall not purely photojournalistic as I do love to capture beautiful portraits during the location photo session as well.  However, I do place a great emphasis on capturing all the moments in the day.  That is one of the main reasons I use a second shooter.  

I often post my portraits here but I thought for a change I’d post a few more of the little moments.
